Praiano offers tourists a wonderful setting and tranquil location from which to sample the joys of the Amalfi Coast. It is perfect for those who want to sojourn in peace among more authentic local inhabitants and to pick their own time to immerse themselves in the more touristy neighboring towns of Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello.
In comparison to Positano, Praiano has a single, significative disadvantage: it has no main road along which you can stroll and shop. But, beside being in a much more spectacular spot of the Amalfi Coast, with a great view of the sea and Capri, it has the unique treat of having a web of small alleys and backstreet where no cars or scooters can go. Like Venice, once you are there, walking through those alleys you suddenly feel in a different world.

We developed this web site as a tool to invite people from all over the world to get to know our town, discover its "secrets" and embrace it not just as a great tourist destination but also as a community, with its people, its traditions and all of its offerings.
