Santa Maria di Costantinopoli
The façade is decorated with stucco semi-capitals. A niche above the entrance contains a statue of Our Lady of Constantinople, next to the small bell tower. The interior has a barrel vault but no apse. The high altar in stucco houses a large painting of the Madonna of Constantinople with St. Rocco, St. Sebastian with angels intent on extinguishing the flames of the fire that devastated Constantinople. On the left side of the altar, an entrance leads to the small sacristy.
Two smaller stucco altars, on the sides of the chapel, are named for Praiano’s two patron saints, St. Luke and St. Gennaro. The small square in front of the church has a great 180-degree view of the coast from Capri and Positano, all the way south.
